Did you delete the original site URL? If you did then read this https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
7. The final option on this screen allows you to discard your current address. This option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again. If you want to redirect traffic to the new blog, you can keep the address and purchase the Site Redirect upgrade. https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/ Note: if you do not select this option, you will see your original address under My Sites. https://en-support.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/discard-current-address-wordpress.png?w=688&h=62

https://thewytchescave.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.
Deleting a .wordpress.com site is neither quickly nor easily done. Too bad you did not take the warnings seriously.
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made except for the one stated here http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com URL and then purchase an upgrade plan so you can map to an existing domain.
Register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
You can also purchase a domain mapping upgrade knowing it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

Hi there,

It sounds like you might have a self-hosted site, as you don’t own any domains on WordPress.com and the setting you describe doesn’t exist on WordPress.com either.
If you changed the domain in your self-hosted site’s settings and are now locked out of your dashboard, you’ll need to log in at your hosting provider and edit the database of the site directly to change it back.
We’re not able to help with that as we don’t have any access to your site’s dashboard, but you can see the instructions of what to do here:
