Changed My WordPress Domain & Now I Can't View My Site

I made what I thought was a simple change to my wordpress domain (free, not purchased and not redirected) and now I can’t view my site. It says ‘Domain Mapping Upgrade for this Domain Not Found.’ Does it take a while to transfer my site or have I lost everything?

I’m not clear about what it is that you want to achieve. You cannot use a domain URL purchased elsewhere to map to from your .wordpress.COM URL unless you purchase an upgrade plan so you can map to an existing domain.
re: purchasing upgrades

Premium upgrades do not include any premium themes which are all individually priced one time upgrades. You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and purchase upgrades at > Dashboard> Store > My Upgrades

Refunds have lime limits. WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
