Changed nameservers on domain, still takes me to old site
-
I just bought a domain name from wordpress.com. I changed the nameservers so that I could use it with another host and use a self hosted wordpress.org site. The name servers have been successfully changed but the domain name still takes me to my wordpress.com site. Is there something I missed or something I still need to do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Without knowing the URL you just changed our help is a bit limited, however it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to migrate across the internet.
You can check the propagation here: http://www.whatsmydns.net/

PS – because of local caching issues by your ISP and other routers you will probably be the last person to see the changes. Contact a friend that has NEVER been to the new URL and ask them to have a look. You also need to have some things set up on your new host – I am assuming you did that and have a site for your new URL.

My url is bretstradamus.com. It still takes me to bretstradamus.wordpress.com.
Should I just keep waiting?

bretstradamus.com Sends me to a site with this:
This site is under development
This page indicates the webmaster has not uploaded a website to the server. For information on how to build or upload a site, please visit your web hosting company’s site.
Name-servers are not pointing to WordPress.COM: http://www.whatsmydns.net/#NS/bretstradamus.com
Patience Grasshopper things look normal.

You be welcome & good luck
In the mean time, your new host should be able to give you the secret handshake to work on your new site so your visitors will have something to see.
