Changed Permalinks now 404
-
I am so frustrated it isn’t even funny. I installed wordpress, started working on it and was adding pages. Decided I wanted to use /%postname%/ so I did that. Then that’s where it all went south, the site went down and after hours of research, I think I’ve tried everything. I removed the .htaccess file and voila, I can see the site now, however…all pages, new or old give a 404 error.
If I try to go into permalinks and change it to the default and click save, it immediately creates a .htaccess file and the whole site goes down again.
Any help is much appreciated.
