Changed some page names but sitemap.xml does not update

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I’ve changed the names of some of my pages – and I want to send the new sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools.

  However, when I was about to send the new link to Google, I checked first and the changes I made (in June) do not show. In fact, the old page slugs are still here. Looking at the sitemap.xml, they have dates of 4 months ago (February) next to them.

  Is there any way to correct this eg. to get WordPress to update the sitemap *before* I send the link to Google?

  These pages should no longer have these names …
  http://english-writer.co.uk/adapt-asian-text-for-the-uk
  http://english-writer.co.uk/adapt-us-text-for-the-uk
  http://english-writer.co.uk/adapt-european-text-for-the-uk
  But they still appear within http://english-writer.co.uk/sitemap.xml

  The pages in the sitemap.xml should have these new names for the pages instead:
  http://english-writer.co.uk/web-email-copywriting/
  http://english-writer.co.uk/copywriting-brochures-guides/
  http://english-writer.co.uk/social-media-copywriting/

  Hi Steve!
  I was able to refresh your sitemap by changing your site to Private, and then making it public again. This “forced” a refresh of your sitemap so search engines can index it. Please take a look:
  http://english-writer.co.uk/sitemap.xml

  Your new pages appear on the map now, and the old pages seem to have been removed.
