Changed the font, but when refreshing in Chrome it does a flashback to default font for one second
-
When I hit refresh on my browser (Chrome), the headers, text font changes from the default (some type of serif font) then almost a second later, immediately to the changed font (Montserat). It’s sort of annoying – is there a quick fix?

Hello, @indefinitearts2017,
Wow, I see that, and understand the annoyance.
I am tagging this thread for staff attention using the modlook tag, so that they may take a look and point us in the right direction.
How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question?
Some issues require staff member help. If you see or add a thread that you know needs staff intervention, you can add the modlook tag to the tags area of the thread to make sure we see it.Staff: I also walked through using the Dyad2 Theme (being used on @indefinitearts2017 ‘s site) and changing the Headings Font to Montserat on my own test site. I have the same results.

We display text in the theme’s default font first. This way, people can start reading your content before the custom font loads, instead of waiting while looking at a blank page. This might mean that there’s a flash of a different font before the page finishes loading, but we think overall this is better for folks on slower connections than seeing a blank screen.
