Changed Title of Post–but URL Doesn't Change–Why?

  Title says it all: I decided to change the title of a new post. After updating, the title changed fine on the blog, but the URL for that post did not change at all.

  Why is this? Can I get the URL to conform to the new title? If so, how?

  Once you publish a post, a modification to the title will not automatically update the URL.

  However, to do so, go to edit your post, then copy/paste the new title to the “slug” (see here https://en-support.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/postpageslug.png, and more info on slugs here https://en.support.wordpress.com/slugs/), and Update the post.
