Changed URL

    Hi – I recently attempted to transfer a domain from go daddy to wordpress. Ive already built some of the website and when i copied and pasted the WordPress Url from dashboard in to go daddy, it wasnt accepting the format. I am new to this so i thought i could change the url on wordpress to match the format accepted by go daddy. However i now cant get in to my website at all and im scared ive lost everything

    Let’s see if we can get this sorted. I see the account you are posting from, dresstudio22 has new the WordPress.com site dressstudio22.wordpress.com without any paid upgrades.

    If I understand your question correctly, you have bought a domain from GoDaddy and would like to use it with a site here at WordPress.com. In that case, you may follow this guide:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

    If instead you’ve built a site at GoDaddy using the self-hosted version of the WordPress software and you’d like to move it to WordPress.com follow this guide:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/

    Finally, if you would like to use the WordPress software from WordPress.org over at GoDaddy you will not need an account with us here at WordPress.com unless you want to make use of our Jetpack plan (which brings additional features).
