Changed URL and now have lost all my posts

Hi,
I changed my URL but just wanted to switch all my posts over. But now it has just wiped all of my posts! I followed the instructions carefully and it didn’t say anything about losing content! Now I can’t get any help on this unless I upgrade?? Please help!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@cherrysbloom, which site are you having trouble with? I see two on your account and they both have posts.

Ok so I was using thetransientstoryteller and wanted to change it to mygypsygene without losing content. Supernovia – are you also seeing a page with about 6 posts and photos for each? If so could you let me know one of the titles? As this is the one I am trying to get back.
I followed these instructions but also from another site which I can no longer find…sorry!

Hi @cherrysbloom,
As you await to hear from @supernovia, do you know how to switch between your multiple sites under one account?
If not, it’s as simple as clicking on ‘My Sites’ then ‘Switch Site’ appears beneath it.
Not sure if this’ll solve your issue, but just wanted to suggest it.

Thanks James, however when I go to my sites the only one that is on there is the one with barely any content on, not the one O built a few months ago and posted photos and written content etc.

Oh I just realized what you meant sorry! Yes I can switch sites! I am definitely in the dark ages when it comes to technology!! Thanks James, all is not lost!! But now I need to see how to merge the two sites without losing content! I basically want to get rid of the name thetransientstoryteller altogether, but keep the content of that site and add it onto mygypsygene…If anyone has the correct link. I can’t quite find what I’m after.

If you followed all of these steps properly at https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/, then it should’ve migrated everything from thetransientstoryteller.wordpress.com to mygypsygene.wordpress.com.
As it hasn’t worked, you could review the same link (https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/) and scroll down to the section about Exporting/Importing. You can export your content from the former blog and then import it into the new one using the step by step guide. It is a bit technical, but just take it one step at a time.
If you have time, you could also wait and see if other volunteers or a staff offers an easier solution.

I am trying to do the export import thing now, followed all instructions but when I try to drag and drop the .xml file, it says ‘Missing required body data’…Any idea what this means?

Can you check to see if your file is zipped up? If it is, try unzipping it and adding the XML files one at a time.
