Changed URL and now site is broken

    Hey everyone, I recently purchased a new URL and tried to switch my site to that URL. I used the settings in WordPress but as soon as I entered it it, I was logged out of my account and can’t get back in using wp-admin. Neither the old URL or the new one work – they come up with errors that the site can’t be reached. And because I can no longer log into WP I can’t change it back. I know sometimes theres a delay but it’s been at least 12hrs now with no change. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
