Changed URL. Intranet Site Cannot Be Reached.
-
The URL to our Internal Intranet Site was changed and saved to ‘http://brother.hood/.’ Now the site directs to a ‘This site can’t be reached’ error.
I’ve read a couple articles about using cpanel or php to fix it, but I can’t wrap my head around it. I’m not sure how to proceed since the site is not on the internet and is internal only. I was not the one to set up the site, so I have no idea what hosting service is being used, if there is one at all.
Please let me know if there is any way to fix the site URL and restore my admin access. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you have trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
And they do have some options for you at https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-the-site-url/
