Changed username but whenever I click home I'm redirected to the old empty blog

  Hi, I’m in a process of setting up a blog. I’ve just made a small change to the name of my blog. The new site keeps all the info of the old one but whenever I click home I’m being redirected to the old empty blog. I need some urgent advise….. I’m happy to get rid of the old name and blog permanently but couldn’t find a way to do so. Your help will be much appreciated.

  Are you using a custom menu? If so, did you create a “home” tab for that menu using the custom link function? If so, you have to go to appearance > menu, click on the right end of the title bar for the “home” entry in the custom menu and then change the link so that it points to your new blog address.
