Changes don't apply
-
Hello,
I’m customizing my blog now and the changes I’ve saved do not apply on the site. I changed the background colour and the preview of the posts on the feed and I have saved those changes but on the actual site they’re not visible and it’s all the same as before. Does it take longer or what could I be doing wrong?Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The background color change is usually instant as soon as you save it.
Which color did you change the background to? I see your site like this: https://cloudup.com/caUNF7LEXQE
Could you also try:
1. Clearing the browser cache: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache2. Open your site in a different browser and check

Which background color are you trying to change to?
I am able to change the background on my test site using Baskerville theme so it is not the theme. It looks like something in your computer or browser may be causing this.
Could you try disabling any browser extensions/add-ons/plugins and see if it helps?

No, I’m sorry for not being clear. I mean that I have other blogs that are with the wordpress domain and changes do apply there. However, on http://mejdukapkite.com/ I cannot change background colour. I tried with a different theme but it’s all the same. The change is saved in my admin panel and it appears there but not on the actual site.

Could you confirm if you are logging in to https://idiosy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ to change the background color of the site at http://mejdukapkite.com/
It is too late in the night here. I will check this back tomorrow.

I tagged this for staff’s attention. Hopefully they can help you identify what is causing the problem with your site’s background color.

Hello sirdidka –
The changes you’re trying to make with that theme – changing the background colors specifically – require the Premium Upgrade.
When you’re in the customizer, you’ll see a small circle on a few of the tabs of the various options – those indicate that it is a premium feature. It will allow you to preview the changes, but not to actually save them unless you have the Premium version.
There’s a message in the customizer that says “This feature is a part of the Premium Plan. Purchase to make it live or exit the preview.”

I am sorry, but this just isn’t true. I tried the same thing – changing the color – on the same theme in other blog of mine here: https://thegreatarchives.wordpress.com/ And it works.
Here: http://mejdukapkite.com/ (on the domain I’m paying for) I followed the same steps to change the background color (it should be grey) and nothing happened.
Furthermore, categories don’t visualise on the site. So the problem obviously isn’t just in the colour and I don’t know what it could be.Thank you, I hope you’ll help me.

Sirdidka –
Could you try this and see what happens:
1) Open your site’s Customizer
2) Open the section called “Colors & Backgrounds”
3) At the top of that section, look for the text “This feature is a part of the Premium Plan. Purchase to make it live or exit the preview.”
4) Click on “exit the preview” to exit the Custom Design preview.
5) Open the “Colors & Backgrounds” section again and set your custom background for your site, and open the “Header Image” section and set your custom header image.
6) Click “Save & Publish” at the top of the customizer. Please let me know the results.

I do owe you an apology, this was extremely helpful, thank you so much. And I’m sorry if I was rude. Thank you!

It’s no problem at all. :) There was a bug somewhere along the line that I wasn’t aware of and while researching your issue I came across this post which gave the workaround:
Have a great day!
