Changes in Upper Footer Widget Area

  I would like to change the background color and padding of my upper footer widget are with custom CSS. I am new to this topic and need some help please.

  To get the result you’re after, you might have to step back in the HTML a little more than the upper footer area and remove the background color from the #colophon wrapper. Here is an example you can try that I think does what you want:

  #colophon {
  	background: none;
  	border-top: none;
  }
  
  #upper-footer-widgets {
  	border-bottom: none;
  }
