Changes made by FTP not showing in Admin or on site

  Updates, modifications and changes being made by FTP client are not showing up within the WP Admin or on the site. Anyone have this happen? My host company can’t seem to figure it out. I had deactivated and even removed the caching plugin thinking it was that, but still no change. However, if I make changes through the WP admin, changes can be seen. I don’t want to customize and edit the entire site through the WP admin Editor, as we have custom coding to our files and it’s easier and more efficient to do through FTP.

  Hi there,

  We’d be happy to help, but we require one vital piece of information. What is the URL of your website?

  Bare in mind that if your websites uses the self-hosted version of WordPress (which I highly suspect since the FTP is not public on WordPress.com) rather than WordPress.com, you should post in the self-hosted forums or alternatively contact your hosting prover. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
