changes made with paid version after payment experation

    There are some changes to the style of my webpage that I’m struggling to figure out using the free version including background color changes, using a background image or color for the header section, and removing or customizing the page names. Are these features that are only available for the paid subscriptions? Are there features or tutorials that I’m missing somewhere? If I pay and then make the changes, what will happen to them after my subscription runs out? Will it revert to the default?

    Hi there,

    Not all of our themes have the ability to set a background image, but you can pick any theme from the list here, which do have this option. https://wordpress.com/themes/free/filter/custom-background

    To be able to change theme colors and do more targeted tweaks like hiding page titles is possible, but will require our WordPress.com Premium Plan, which includes custom design tools which are not included in our free sites. More info here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    That is correct, to keep customizations active (that you have made under our Premium plan, for example) you will need to keep that upgrade active. If the site is returned to free status those customizations would not be retained.
