Changes not showing

  I am making (and saving) changes in my control panel but they are not being reflected on the content pages. For example, the ‘About Me’ information on the content pages does not match the ‘About Me’ information in the control panel .

  If you select publish then you should see the changes. Hope that helps.

  Hi greatland1959 – Please let me know what site you’re working on and we can have a closer look. When you say “control panel” are you referring to the site’s menu?

  jdlee581, I haven’t “published” the site yet, but I thought that changes would be reflected in the preview once I saved them.

  llzkarkoski, I am referring to the “About Me” content in my WordPress.com profile. When I updated it, it did not update in a page that includes that: https://greatland1959.wordpress.com/blog/

  Hi there,

  Content inside widgets get cached, so will only update the next time your site’s cache refreshes after a change was made. This can take up to 24 hours, depending on how long it was since the last cache refresh when you make that change.

  Looking at your site now, the widget shows the same content on your site and in the Customizer preview as the widget text box in the Customizer sidebar, so it looks like it has since updated.

  If you still see a difference, check if clearing your browser cache helps. If not, please take a screen shot of what you see and upload it to the media library, and I’ll be able to take a look at it there.

  kokkieh, I appreciate the info. Now I just gotta figure out how to do a “reply to” in these forums.
