Changes to connection.
-
I recently tried to share a blog post from my site to Facebook via a share button but it failed due to a unsecure connection in the url. I have no idea how to secure it and get the little green padlock sign back
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there, I’m not sure it’s something on the WordPress side that is limiting your sharing. I went to facebook’s debugger page and put your URL in: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ and it told me that your content doesn’t meet their community standards. There is an option to reach out to them there if you feel that it’s a mistake.
I hope that helps, please reply if you have additional questions (or maybe another forum poster can jump in if they have additional information or ideas). Thanks!

It states quite clearly in the url on my site that the connection is unsafe which you would assume is why Facebook won’t allow me to share yet the message I receive is
Warning: This Message Contains Blocked Content
Your message couldn’t be sent because it includes content that other people on Facebook have reported as abusive.
I’m confused, is this because someone has reported me for abusive content or is the connection unsecure? -
Hi @jandomagala,
It looks like it something to do with Facebook’s Community Standards based on the error from their debugger. I recommend submitting a request to Facebook via the “let us know” link once you have run your URL through the debugger.
I suspect this will open some sort of review for someone from Facebook to look at why your content may be flagged and preventing it from being shared.
Hope that helps.
