Changes to CSS for Chateau Theme
-
Hi – total newbie here. I’ve been able to customize Chateau by researching the internet. Only have two things left … I have it set to two columns. I’d like to be able to make the content column bigger and reduce the space between post title and content.
Also, I’ve read that its wrong to put your changes in the CSS section as updates to the theme will erase them…is this only for wordpress.org? Any help would be appreciated!

That’s only for self-hosted sites (WordPress.org). On WordPress.com you never have to worry about that as CSS changes are isolated in the CSS editor. :)
reduce the space between post title and content.
Give this a try:
.post-title { padding: 0; }I’d like to be able to make the content column bigger
Could you tell me more about your goal here and what you had in mind? Your content column currently has a good fairly line length – if you stretch it out any more it’ll be harder and harder to read.
