Changes to image displays

  I am horrified to find a totally different way of enlarging/showing images imposed upon me without any notification…Wordpress may think it is ‘better’ but I do not. I am showing my pictures (art). I want them on a white background, not black, one at a time, and to be able to make the small ones small! Even photos, I don’t like being shown in that way. It looks very messy seeing the last one and the next one at the side distracting your vision. I am really fed up having painfully negotiated my way through so many hoops to learn WordPress to find it can be redesigned without so much as a by your leave. If you want to do that at least make it an ALTERNATIVE. Why do you have to mess about with stuff that was working well? I only found out by accident just now. I am really dissapointed. Is there anything at all I can do about it?

  I recently found the same problem. Is there no way to change it? I thought I had screwed up somewhere. I use the 2010 format.

  Pamainstreets,
  Having messed around, I discover that if you click on ‘Permalink’ (at the base of the black background ….) a word meaningless to most non tech people like me, you get back to how it was…but how-it-was I want to be the default situation. I dont want to have to leave messages on each page telling people how to avoid seeing everything against a black backround and at a standard size not of my choosing!

  WordPress, Can the old way be made the default?

  I really like the old way. Please, consider to opt everybody whether they want to use carousel or the other way. Otherwise I’m happy with the wordpress.com, it’s a good blogging service.

  This is really bad, could we please have an option to turn off the carousel plugin? :(

  I want to be able to share full size images, and with Firefox you don’t even get the “Permalink” link so there is no way to download the full image! If a user tries to save the image by right click all you get is a sized down version with lower quality.

  Please consider a better option for visitors to get the full image or even better give us an option to turn the Carousel off. Gallerys worked great before with links directly to the full and unaltered image.
