Changes to image widget

    Hi there,

    I’m using the image widget on my site, but there seems to have been made some changes to it, so these guidelines no longer apply: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/.

    I do not seem to be able to link the image to another page anymore?

    Howdy anderseditor!
    The Image Widget seems to be working absolutely fine, for you to have a look at I just set a quick demo for you https://demopr.wordpress.com/
    The Image widget seems to be linking correctly, are you making sure you are linking correctly, looking at your Image of the Week, the link goes to a larger image, so that’s opening up.
    Can you just cross check the Values while you configure the Image Widget and update us, the video explains it well in the guidelines https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply.

    The problem was not that it did not load, it was that it did not go to the page it was meant to go to, but I managed to work it out. WP must have updated the settings for how to do this in the last week or so, as it looked completely different when I tried to do it today and have never had problems with it before. I suggest you update the guidelines too, otherwise, it is confusing.
