Changes to text in widgets not saving
-
Hi, I just made a lot of changes to content in the text widgets that display the content on my home page. I saved repeatedly, but the changes wouldn’t display, even after clearing the cache, using a different browser from the one I was logged in to.
So I lodged out of wordpress, and when I lodged in again, all of my changes were gone, the text reverted to what it was before the work session. Again, I saved REPEATEDLY.
It’s working now, but how do I avoid this happening again, I lost hours of work.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ok, after logging in again, I was able to save the changes to widget text, but now font color changes won’t save… even though the customize panel shows the change and indicates the change was saved.

Hi there!
Are you having trouble with changing the text color in the Customizer or in your Text widget? What color are you trying to change your text to?
-
Hi, the problem was that changes to the Customizer weren’t saving. They would show in the preview and then once I’d hit Save and gotten the message that the changes were published, they would not be on the live site.
I tried logging off and logging in again and that didn’t help. If I closed the Customizer and then opened it again the changes would be gone.
I was able to make the changes the next day without any problem. But it would be great to know what to do if it ever happens again.
Was working with the client at the time, and she wasn’t happy — am going to have to calm her down..!

Hmm. It sounds like it may have been a syncing error. I would suggest clearing your cache and cookies and restarting your browser. That should get you working again!
Sorry for that inconvenience! Definitely let me know if it becomes a more widespread issue and I’ll ask our developers to take a look at the Customizer!
