Changes to the way statistics are shown and photos posted.

  On the statistics page for my blog, the total visitor and view stats for any particular day are no longer shown when one hovers the cursor over the bar graph. Is this another “improvement” by WP? If so, I do not think it makes anything better. I much preferrred the old way, as I did for the previous method of adding photographs. I find that one cannot always get the photos where I want them, and that galleries are placed a the start of a post when usually I write first and then post a gallery. There was nothing wrong with the previous way of posting media, so why change it?

  You’re right. The “visitors” numbers are gone for my blogs bar charts today as well. I’m thinking Staff are probably still working on the stats section. I tagged this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the thread so your are notified when they reply.

  Hi there,

  There are several questions here, and we recommend that you have one question per thread (to make searching easier for other users). I’ll see if I can address all the issues here, however.

  First: the stats hover view should be resolved. You should be able to see the individual numbers when you hover over the bar. Is that not the case for you?

  We did notice an issue with users not able to post images anywhere but in the top of the post while using Firefox, and we deployed a fix for that. Are you still experiencing the issue? Can you link me to a post URL if that is the case?
