change/start over domain name
-
How can I change my domain from alivelovedotorg.wordpress.com (which is too long) to alivelove.wordpress.com? I want the free one and I don’t like the dotorg in it, looks weird. Is there any way to delete it and start over? I’ve already tried changing it myself and it says that name is not avail (prob because I already have it ??)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you go to Dashboard > My Blogs do you see both alivelovedotorg and alivelove?
If so, go to the old blog and in the Dashboard go to Tools > Export. Then go to your new blog and in the Dashboard got to Tools > Import and upload the file you downloaded from the old site.

I don’t have an old blog. This is the only one I’ve ever had so I have nothing to export. I just want to delete alivelovedotorg.wordpress.com and start again with alivelove.wordpress.com

If you don’t have it, then someone else has already registered it and you need to pick something else.

alivelove.wordpress.com has already been registered by someone else.
I’m sorry, but we do not reuse or reassign blog names on WordPress.com.
If you like, you can attempt to contact the owner of that blog and ask them if they would like to transfer it to you. You can do this by either leaving them a message using a contact form if it exists, or leaving a comment on an existing page or post requesting they contact you.
If you are able to reach the blog owner and they are willing to transfer the blog to you, here are the instructions they can use to do that.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-accountIf they do not respond or refuse the transfer, you will need to select a different name for your WordPress.com blog.
Keep in mind we also offer an upgrade for custom domain names and you can use any WordPress.com blog URL underneath a custom domain. For more details about how domain mapping works:
