Changing 2 Step Authentication
-
Cannot get through the security or adjust any information on the two step authentication. Google authenticator doesn’t work, I can get the texts of temp. codes to get me into my account but I cant get access set up so I dont have to do this every time. It’s very annoying and makes it so I can only use wordpress on my computer not tablet or mobile.

It looks like you are able to log into your account, assuming we’re referring to spicypenguinpdx.
Once you are logged in, you can go to https://wordpress.com/settings/security/ and disable Two-step authentication. From there you can try setting it up again if you’d like. Note that you will need to create a new application-specific password for your mobile devices if you do disable it.
This process is explained at http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/#disabling-two-step-authentication
If you are repeatedly asked for authentication codes, be sure you have third-party cookies enabled in your browser:

yes, I realize that, however, I cant get the code to set up the google authentication device since I had to restart/change devices I no longer have this information.
“To verify that you wish to disable Two Step Authentication, please enter your current authentication code, and click “Disable”.”
This is insanely frustrating since, I can’t get the friggin authentication codes. I have every other type of code. But I’m not able to use my mobile/tablet to use my wordpress account via the app because of this safety feature. I’d like to fix it so I dont have to remove my account.

I am receiving emails from you that you have not received a response from me. I initially replied to you on May 29 and then forwarded that response on June 2. If you have not received those responses, please check your spam filter as well as the Social tab in Gmail.

Recently my Google authenticator app was corrupted after an OS update for my phone and I lost access to my verification codes for my account. I have also been unable to locate the file where I stored my back up codes due to a few problems with my computer.
I have checked the forums and I have found a few people that have had this same problem and the only solution that has been available is for a team member from WordPress to email a one time verification code to access the account and change the settings. I’m only on a free blog so I can contact WordPress staff directly.
The blog I am trying to access is http://hitplaygadgets.wordpress.com/, the account I am posting from is a second account that I created in order to keep running while I try to get access to my original account.
Thanks in advance for any help.
The blog I need help with is hitplaygadgets.wordpress.com.

@spicypenguinpdx I would very much like to assist you, but to do so, I must first receive a response to the three emails I have already sent to the email address you have associated with your WordPress.com account. Please look for those emails in your spam or Gmail Social tab, and when you have found them, please reply so we can move forward.
