Changing a flexible width theme to fixed width and then centering it

  Sorry for the overly wordy title. Basically I’m using the Andreas09 theme and have set a fixed width, but obviously in higher resolutions this leaves a mass of grey space over on the right hand side of the screen. Is there any way of “centering” the blog using CSS so it appears in the middle of the screen regardless of the resolution?

  margin-left:auto;
  margin-right:auto;}

  better: Apply those margins to #container
