Changing a font
-
So… I am new to wordpress though not to blogging – other blogs I can change my html myself — so if I want to change the font of my heading, I have to BUY a css upgrade? Is that what I am reading?? I’m an experienced designer, but don’t want to pay to change a font —
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is correct. You must buy the CSS upgrade to change the appearance of your blog: colors, titles, widget formats, links formats, and so on.
It is possible to do a lot with plain html codes.

You can change it by hand:

The problem is, if you change themes and it doesn’t look good anymore, you’ll have to change it by hand again. We had someone who set all his text to white, then moved to a blog with a white background. Text=invisible.

Raincoaster,
Is there a tag for changing the fontcolour of link-active words? I’ve got Dusk which has a standard dull gray blue for links. It gets a bit better when I highlight it with Bold, but it does not please me altogether.http://bloggwonder.wordpress.com/2009/12/15/the-figurine-gems/

That link should give you the instructions. I don’t remember whether you have to place the font code outside or inside the link code; experiment.
There is also this terrific blog: http://csswiz.wordpress.com/ which is for people who don’t have the CSS upgrade and still want to change the look of their blogs.

Colourcode messes up link text. All of a sudden I like dull standard gray blue! N’theless thanks for the tip.
