Changing a png in header overlay Digg 3

  I have been trying to change the background (png image)in my header which is the white and grey part with the rss feed and search box. I have a replacement png file which is exactly the same as the file that is already there, except the colors are different, how do I replace it using custom css? Thanks!

  Okay I got it figured out, I wasn’t able to substitute a png but I got the other unwanted one to disappear. I now have a header picture that is too big, so I need to figure that out. If you know how to shrink a header picture, let me know, thanks
