Changing a subdomain name!

Hi guys, I currently run twentyoneandtravelling.wordpress.com.
However as I am no longer 21 I want to change the url.
So instead of having twentyoneandtravelling.wordpress.com I want it as example.wordpress.com.
If I change this does it affect my content/page at all- I know I’d need to change any internal links but would i need to do anything else?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@aimeewhite if you want to keep all SEO for the current site, you will need to rename the site and get a redirect upgrade.
Here’s how:
1) Start here: twentyoneandtravelling.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs
2) Mouse over the site and choose to Change Blog Address
3) Type your example in the first two boxes (the name will have to be available)
4) I recommend against changing your username for this, so select “No” for that section
5) Do not discard the current address
Confirm the change. Then you will need a site redirect upgrade, which you can get here:
https://wordpress.com/domains/add/site-redirect/ — be sure to select the old site! :)Type your new site name in the box, and pay for the upgrade.
You’ll want to use it for at least one year to give folks time to update their links / establish ranking for the new site. After that, you might consider just making the old site private, or you can keep the upgrade just in case.
