Changing account email address

    Hi, I have submitted the request to change my account email address to (email visible only to moderators and staff) – I have received the email and clicked the link, but it isn’t seem to be affected my current account – the account still says the email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Can you let me know how to fix this?

    Because I want to upgrade to a paid plan once I have this account linked to my new email address. I want to relink this account back to my domain 505.design

  • Hi there, did you have a second WordPress.com login that used that address previously? I show in our system that we do have a user login associated with that address, but it was closed recently.

    Please note that when an account is closed there is a 30 day grace period where the account can be recovered. Because of this the email address is not free to use until that grace period has passed, at which time the email will be released for use with any other account you wish.

    A workaround for this would be to recover the deleted account, then set it to use a different email address. This will “free up” your preferred address to use with your @paulnilski login. If you need to reactivate it you can do so within 30 days by emailing passwordhelp[at]wordpress[.]com with the email address you used in setting up your account.
