  I recently took over this account and would like admin access as well as redirect the post to another email

  If you have taken over the account you are currently under, you do have admin access since this is the owner’s account. Since you took over the account, do you want to update the email connected to it? If so, you can change your account email address here:

  https://wordpress.com/settings/account/

  Please note that the change will not immediately take effect, as you will receive a validation email at the new email address. Make sure to click the link in the validation email to confirm the email address change.
