Changing assigned WordPress URL once blog is up and built?

  HI,

  I chose a WordPress domain name for my blog: http://www.xxxx.wordpress.com

  I need to change it, but do not want to lose all of my work. Help?!

  Please let me know if anyone out there has had to handle this.

  Thousands of people. You can either get web hosting elsewhere and buy a domain name to use there, then export your blog, OR you can just purchase the domain name upgrade here. There is information about it in the FAQ:

  Or you can just get a new blog, export the contents of the old blog and import them into a new blog.
