I cannot figure out how to change the author bio photo so that it’s the same photo as my profile photo. Help!

When I look at the site the only place where I see an author is the by (1) or by (2) with the posts. Is this the space where you want to see an author image? Or was is the section below your personal image and snippet on the about page? The bit below this:

Hello!
I believe the best way to explain the location in question is to share screenshots. The first one shows the photo I want to use, located underneath my blog post. The second photo shows what people see when they click on my name and see my author bio page. I need to change the photo on my author bio page.

Ok they are uploaded. Just in case, the website we use WordPress for is http://www.tynerconstruction.com. The bio that was copied and pasted was from a test website that is not utilized. Please let me know if you need more information on this as I have trouble navigating WordPress and it can be confusing.

tynerconstruction.com is not hosted here on WordPress.com. It uses the WordPress.org software, and it’s hosted elsewhere. I thought you were referring to your WordPress.com site, tynerdesigner.wordpress.com.

Hey there,
So WordPress.org is just where you would obtain the free open source version of the WordPress software. Unless you have an account on WordPress.org, you may not be able to login.
To login to the site itself, you would go to: http://www.tynerconstruction.com/wp-admin/

This could be located via http://www.tynerconstruction.com/wp-admin/ > Users > click on the profile > And you should see the image at the bottom of the settings.

WordPress.org is a separate entity from WordPress.com, and as a free community-built software it doesn’t have customer support as such. Because it’s separate from WordPress.com your WordPress.com login wouldn’t work there. They do offer community forums however, and it’s free to create an account there:

aleonementioned, you should theoretically be able to change your author bio photo by logging in to your site management at http://www.tynerconstruction.com/wp-admin/ and heading to the ‘Users’ section. WordPress.org do have a couple of guides for that: -

I am able to change the photo using Gravatar, that was a simple process thankfully. Unfortunately what that didn’t do is change the photo that shows once you click on my name. It takes you to another page, and a different photo is there. I am unable to post here the two screenshots I took to illustrate what the pages look like with different photos. I do have them in my media library, though.
I am also still wondering if WordPress has a customer service phone number.

Are you able to provide a link to the page being referenced here, this will help to retrace some steps.
Also, it’s possible to upload screenshots to the media library, and we should be able to see them – so that we can see what you’re seeing there.

It looks like your Gravatar photo was updated correctly, as they show up here in the forums as well as in the author box here. However, on this page, the photo is not being pulled from Gravatar. If you right-click on the photo and copy the link to the photo and paste it into a new tab, you’ll see that it’s coming from the media library and not gravatar.com.
This means your theme is configured to display the photo on the author page from the website library, not from gravatar. That’s why that photo is not being updated.
Since this is a third-party theme, plus your site isn’t hosted here, we are unable to help further. But it seems you are using a themetrust theme, and you can find out how to contact them for help with this here: https://themetrust.com/how-to-get-support/
I suggest getting in touch with them, as they will be able to help you update the photo on the author page.

Regarding the Themetrust, i was not able to log into that site so I emailed my colleague for some advice. This was her reply:
“It is sort of a third-party theme but it was purchased by the designers who built our site under their account, and then it is customized. So we don’t hold the license to the original theme or have access to support by virtue of that, AND even if we did, since the third (or fourth? Lol) party designers introduced their own code into the core files (and I have more since, as well, for that matter), it makes it difficult to find support or info in a knowledgebase for the original them, because it’s been altered. Does that make sense?
The company that created our site is no longer in business.”
What can we do? I was unsuccessful in contacting Themetrust because they require you to log in to see their contact information.

As members of staff have mentioned higher up this thread, this forum can only help with (and staff see the back end of) sites hosted here at WordPress.com such as https://tynerdesigner.wordpress.com/ Staff here can’t see your Media Library at another company.
For your site hosted at some other provider your best bet is to create an account and ask for help at the .org support forum.
