Changing back to my old wordpress url

    I recently changed the url of my wordpress portfolio from amanisportfolio.wordpress.com to writeramani.wordpress.com. I would like to undo this change and go back to my old url, so how would I do that?

    When changing the address from amanisportfolio.wordpress.com to writeramani.wordpress.com, you would have seen an option called “Discard current address”

    Did you enable that during the process? From what I see, amanisportfolio.wordpress.com is still available and is likely on your account. You should be able to see this on https://wordpress.com/sites

    I am also tagging the post with “modlook” for the WordPress.com staff’s attention, who can confirm the case.

    There is no way to undo that name change, which is why we post clear warnings about it being a permanent change.

    However, since you did not choose the “discard current address” option, you still have amanisportfolio.wordpress.com available. It is currently an empty site, so you’d need to import any content from writeramani.wordpress.com using these instructions:
