  • Hi there,

    If you go to the Customizer in Colors & Backgrounds, you have two other palettes that you can choose which change the whole color scheme of your site.

    Please note that Twenty Thirteen does not have support for custom background colors in the header.

    To change the header background color of your theme, you will need to use Custom CSS which is a feature of the WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business plans. Custom CSS allows you to change colors of specific elements.

    Your other option may be to find another theme that gives you more control over the background colors.

  • Hi

    Just to add to what staff-frank suggested: if you do have the option of adding custom CSS in the Customizer, it looks like you can target the .site class with some CSS to change the site’s background color.

    For example, if you want to change the background color of your site to beige (if you’re not familiar with CSS colors, 147 Colors has a range of colors to choose from), you could try something like this:

    .site {
      background-color: beige;
    }
