Changing background colour not working in Harmonic theme

I’m using the Harmonic theme on my new blog (https://beardsandstuff.wordpress.com) and in the Colors & Backgrounds section changing the background colour isn’t working correctly. When I select anything from the “These are colors that work well with the other colors in your palette” section the background doesn’t change and it instead changes the colour of the post titles to either grey or white. Choosing my own colours also results in the same thing happening.
This was working fine last week and it only recently seems to have become broken.

Try this: open the Colors & Backgrounds panel, click on the empty area below the subtitle “Background” (check this screenshot — it is the black area.)
Then choose a color. It works for me here.

As I said in my post, choosing a colour from there does nothing to the background and only changes the post title text to a shade of grey or white depending on what colour I choose.
I’ve installed this theme on a few other sites I have on my account changing the colour works fine on those. It’s just specific to this blog for some reason.

Would you try reseting your browser cookies, or try with a different browser? There was a recent change to this section of wordpress.com I guess, and cookies and cache it may be interfering with your customization.

Already tried all that. It’s only happening with the theme on one of my blogs and works fine on the others so I’m not sure what the problem is.
How do you flag for staff to see? I was close to purchasing Premium for more customisation but I won’t be doing so if the current problem persists as it’ll be a waste of money.

As you can see, the background colour isn’t being changed at all.

I am also having this same problem with my superhero theme blog, asteroidpen.wordpress.com.
I hope it’s not rude to tack on to your problem. Perhaps this means it’s a general issue that can be easily amended.

No problem it might help get the problem fixed quicker.
Just out of curiosity I made a new block and selected the Heroic theme and changing the background works fine on that so it is definitely just specific to that one blog I have.

Sorry for the trouble! Our team launched a fix to background colors to resolve problems with the selected color not showing up in certain themes. Can you try again and let me know if you’re still running into trouble with that?
