Changing Blog Address?

I recently changed my blog address, but haven’t deleted my previous address. I have, however, “hidden” it on my dashboard. I am wondering now that the change in blog address has happened, are my followers still able to access my site and do they still receive notifications about my posts? Or are they still redirected to my previous blog address which shows them a “cannot be found” page?

When you use the Change Address tool, your blog followers are essentially transferred automatically.

In reality, all we do is change the blog’s URL, so nothing underneath (the blog itself, the content, the stats, the followers, etc.) change.

So my followers wouldn’t still be directed to my old blog URL when clicking from their Reader or email. Ah I see, thanks for answering my question!
