Changing Blog Address

  I want to change my blog address.
  I own the new name that I want to change it to but WordPress tells me “sorry that name already exists”.
  How do I resolve this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you own your own custom domain name – you want to map an existing name – not change it or register it again

  Hi auxclass – thanks so much for your response but it’s not a custom domain name I want to use. I own themainprotagonist.wordpress.com and I’d like to change mashariki.wordpress.com to that name.
  Any ideas how? When I follow the prompts on how to change your blog address WordPress tells me that name already exists. How can I let it know that yes I am the owner of the new name?
