Changing blog appearance.

  Hello,
  I’m new to wordpress and the internet.Would like to know how to customise the look of my blog; afrogay.wordpress.com.I appreciate the themes supplied but I want to give the blog a fresh and original look.Is it also permissible to place ads on a blog?

  You will need to get an upgrade for that. If you don’t know how to customise CSS, you will need to hire someone to do that too. A lot of themes allow for your own photo / graphic in the header, and you can change the sidebar titles as much as you want. I even change the sidebar font to bold – looks a lot better. All that and no upgrade, not yet anyway.
