Changing blog domains

  Hello.

  I currently have two websites, one of which is my portfolio website, the other is my blog. both are hosted by the same company but have different domain names and spaces. I am trying to move my blog to my main portfolio website so it is no longer an external link. The company I am hosted through originally set up the blog on the site for me when I told them I couldn’t figure it out.

  Now they are telling me that I will have to transfer the files from one site to the other myself unless I wish to pay a some what large hourly fee. My question is, how exactly do I move all of my current posts, theme set up, and everything form the one site to the other?

  I have downloaded the files and transferred them to my new websites folder, and tested it and I got a link that said “photodp.net has moved to a new site” followed by a link back to my new sites main page. Is this because the site wasn’t actually uploadaed to the server and I was just testing it?

  Any help would be great.

  If you have downloaded files and moved them to a new web site then it sounds like you are not hosted here on WordPress.COM.

  Your site is not hosted on WordPress.COM, this site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
