changing blog name, effect in seo

  What is the effect on seo when a blog name (title) is changed (without changing url)?
  general settings> site title.
  For instance, change from ‘gourmettite’ to gourmettite recipes’, will my rankings go down when I make this change?
  I have looked through the forums but I only see posts about url changes.

  I don’t believe it would affect the seo status of your blog.

  The change you propose to make is a minor one – not to worry. :)

  It changes the results in searches for your actual blog name, but otherwise, in searches for post titles or actual subject matter, it doesn’t matter at all.
