changing blog name without deleting my blog

  I recently got married and want to change my “www.jennifersmith.wordpress.com” to “www.jennaerickson.wordpress.com” but cannot figure out how to. I’ve clicked around COUNTLESS times on your site and have googled etc but I cannot get a straight-forward answer as to if this is possible.

  Will someone please get back to me ASAP with bullet points on how to do this before I delete this completely and use a different platform? Thanks

  Hello there,
  This is not a simple process and I cannot dumb it down any further than Staff have already done in support documentation. Please read the entry twice or even thrice before you do this.

  Assuming the .WordPress.com blog address you want is available, you can change it by using these instructions, > changing a blog address > http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  P.S. The average turnaround time for getting a first response to any question posting to any blogging forum is 12 – 24 hours.

  P.P.S. There is no antiquated “www” in any wordpress.com URL.
  Note that this is the correct URL > http://jenniferesmith.wordpress.com/
