Changing blog title | reverting back to original name

    Hi,

A couple of weeks ago I decided to change my blog address. However, I have now decided that I would like to revert back to my original title.

For the purposes of explaining lets just says I changed from BlogA.wordpress.com to BlogB.wordpress.com).

I didn’t delete the Blog A, so under the my blogs tab I can see both titles, but I now want to move back to Blog A.

I tried just repeating the process and changing the blog address of Blog B to Blog A, but of course it doesn’t allow me to do this as Blog A already exists.

The simplest way I can see is to permanently delete Blog A and then change the blog address of Blog B back to it’s original title, but I wanted to try to forums to see if there may be any simpler ways of doing this – and indeed double check that this method would indeed work.

    Thanks,

    Jack

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You go to the dashboard of the blog you don’t want, to the Tools page. Use the Export tool to export the contents. Go to the dashboard of the other blog, click Import.

    Thanks Raincoaster.

So now I’ll have two blogs with identical content? Which means I am free to delete/hide/remove posts from which ever I want?

    Cheers

The import has now taken place, but this has in turn thrown up it’s own issue.

The custom design upgrade only seems to be allowed on one blog and since I originally changed the blog address from A to B, blog B is now the one with the upgrade.

This means that blog A, which is the one I want to use from now on, doesn’t have the ability to be designed as I’d like.

Does this mean I need to revert to my original plan of deleting blog A’s address, then changing blog B’s address to the now freed up blog A?

    Thanks,

    Jack
