Changing blog to a website

  Hello
  I am running the blog and wish to buy a domain and host a website by the same name. I assume deleting the previous content is the best way or is there anything else I can do?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The blog designospire.wordpress.com is protected.
  There is no need to delete your content if you are happy for it to appear as the blog page on your website.

  For your site to appear as a website you will need to change the appearance from a blog to a static home page – see link
