Changing blog url/http address

    Hi
    This is one for an idiots guide please, I have searched the forum yet can’t find a solution. Happy to be pointed to the answer if this has been asked.
    I set up a blog with the idea of using it for myself however after populating it I had to change direction for a charity event. So would like to change the address without losing the content from;
    http://talesofa reluctantparticipant.wordpress.com
    To
    http://newtownvelocity.wordpress.com
    Can someone assist me without using too much jargon as I am really at the edge of my understanding at this point.
    Is it a simple change within settings or is there a need for me to purchase a new domain or even worse start again?
    I have not yet promoted the site so don’t need to worry about any followers though this site is now for a charity event and I need to get publicity started very soon.
    I just want it to be found through me linking it in articles or when I read the address to people. The original name just isn’t appropriate for the new venture.
