Changing color of main side bar widget
-
Is there a way to change the color of my main side bar widget? I only have it viewable in my blog portion of my site, but i’d love for it to pop out with another color if possible. Here’s a look at one of my blog categories so you can see the area I mean:

You don’t need any upgrade to create a colored background behind text in posts, pages or in text widgets. See here https://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/09/19/background-color-to-text/

Neither one of the items in my sidebar are text widgets. Won’t that make a difference or no?

You can post a text widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ containing whatever you want to draw attention to at any time.

Sorry, but I’m not sure you understand what I’m asking based on the links you’ve provided as answers :(

I apologize. You can simply wait for Staff support for CSS editing or for another Volunteer who assist with CSS editing to assist you.

I appreciate your efforts! I may not be asking it correctly either but we’ll see if anyone else weighs in.
thanks again timethief. -
I thought you wanted to create a text widget with the background color of your choice in it and also use the subscription shortcode in it. I do apologize for misunderstanding you. Sorry. :(

Well, that could be done, but I also have an archive widget as well in my main sidebar. I don’t know if I could add that element within a text widget as well as a subscription area. If so, then I could follow along with your idea.

Hi there, I see that you have gotten the background color set for the sidebar and widgets. I’m going to mark this as resolved, but if you have additional questions, feel free to start a new thread.
