changing color of text for site

    I’ve already asked about this and now realize that it is Blogger that allows you to change the font color throughout a blog, not WP. But what about the site text on WP, including the subtitle at top of the page, the footers under each post…? I just took another attempt at finding how to do this, with no luck. These are the basics but they are certainly not easy to find. I hear a lot of people complain about WP and how difficult it is to do what SHOULD be easy here, so this is something a lot of people struggle with. I don’t post here much now at all but I would like to at least adjust the font colors so that they look ok with the new background colors I just chose.

    Hi there! There are a few options, and it depends on your theme/plan.

    If you are using a paid plan, I found that I had the best luck with changing around font colors by using CSS code.

    When you are on your WP dashboard, click on Design > Customize and at the bottom is additional CSS. Bringing this up will bring up your site to the right so you are able to see the changes in real time, and this will help you try out different colors with the background color.

    Click on Additional CSS, and try adding this code:

    p { color:#0066ff }

    That hex code should change it blue, try different codes to fine tune which color you had in mind.

    For changing headers, you would replace the “p” with “h2” for example.

    If you’re using a free or Personal WordPress.com plan, you can try changing the colors with your theme. Not all themes allow this however, you can see more information about this here

    Lastly, if the above two do not work for you, you will have to edit each block with text. On the right hand side after you click a block, you will have the option to drop down the menu for Color settings. From here, you can change text color and click custom color for more options.
