Changing color of theme provided links when hovering over them

I know this may be for the custom design area – but even when I previewed I didn’t see this option. My colors for the theme of the blog are black, white, gray, and green. The theme I chose from wordpress is close – but when you hover over the About link in the upper right or the RSS feed, or any of the links on the right sidebar, the links change to a light blue.

Will I be able to change them to my green if I go for the custom design option? I just wanted to be sure before I made the purchase. But, more so, if there is a free way to make that change, please let me know!

I understand HTML and CSS and recall a number of years ago being able to make these changes without the fee in wordpress – but that was a while ago – and you did have to know code, I think.

    Any help would be appreciated!
