Changing colors exclusively for the footer in Tenku theme
-
I am having trouble changing the “background” color exclusively for the footer in the Tenku theme. When I change the “text” color, this changes what appears to be the background in the footer. But this also changes the “text” color for the whole site.
So the question is: How do I change the color exclusively for the footer?

Hey there,
If you want to change only the background color of the footer on the Tenku theme, follow the steps below:
- Go to Dashboard —> Appearance —> Site Editor
- Then click on Patterns and scroll to the bottom. There you will find Footer under template parts.
- Once you click on Footer, the footer should pop out on the right side. Click that once and it will enlarge. You can then click it again in order to start editing it.
- When it opens up, Click on settings on the top right corner. It should be in between the question mark (Help) and Black and white circle (Styles).
- Click on the footer again on the left side of the screen and you will have options popping up on the right side of the screen.
- There you will have to click on Block —> Styles (Black and white circle) —> Background image. There you can choose the color you want.
- The image below should give you a better idea.

I hope this solves it.

Hi @iptrollet – let me know if @melronmas10’s steps helped you get this sorted! I see the footer on your site with a black background now, with the rest of the page background still white.
Thanks for the clear steps, @melronmas10!
