Changing colors in the Blog Expert Theme
-
I’m using the Blog Expert theme and I was wondering if there was something I could add to the CSS section in order to 1. Change the footer background from gray to white 2. Change the red color (the one above my posts displaying the categories) from red to maroon.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @artusartos,
1. Change the footer background from gray to white
.site-footer { background: white !impoetant; }2. Change the red color (the one above my posts displaying the categories) from red to maroon.
.alt-bgcolor { background: maroon !important; }let me know if it works.

Great job sharing the necessary information to help this user. I’d also be sure to mention that the site in question is not using our managed hosting at WordPress.com. Instead, it’s set up on the open source WordPress.org software and help comes from the community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Hello staff-zinnia,
I thought Wild West Domains,LLC is a proxy service for WordPress.com. Am I correct?
-
@khushbudesaiblog the user’s domain was indeed registered through WWD LLC, however the nameservers are not pointing to WordPressdotcom.
Nameservers:
ams-ns1.greengeeks.com
chi-ns1.greengeeks.com
chi-ns2.greengeeks.com -
Thanks a lot @khushbudesaiblog . Yes it does work. Is there a way to also change the color of the “search” button?

staff-zinnia @justjennifer I was using WordPress.com and later migrated to Green Geeks, but I still have the jetpack plugin. Can I not continue using this forum?
-
@artusartos, since your site is not hosted by us it’s best to use the WordPress.org support forums going forward.
